Install the extension

Add Roomy to Chrome and connect it to your account. About 2 minutes.

What you need

Chrome on a computer, and a Roomy account. Roomy works with Google Meet.

Install

  1. 1Open Get the extension and download the zip.
  2. 2Unzip it.
  3. 3Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top right), click Load unpacked and pick the roomy-extension folder.
  4. 4A welcome page opens. Click Allow microphone, then Allow in Chrome's prompt: Roomy needs it to hear you.
  5. 5Pin Roomy: click the puzzle piece in Chrome's toolbar, then the pin next to Roomy.

Connect it to your account

Open Connect the extension in Roomy and click Connect the extension. If Roomy shows a code instead, copy it and paste it into the extension.

If something's off

  • No Load unpacked button: turn on Developer mode first.
  • The extension says Reconnect: your connection was switched off or is more than 30 days old. Connect again from Settings.
  • Roomy can't hear you: check that you allowed the microphone on Roomy's welcome page, and that your mic isn't muted.
